I am Daniele Zanni, a 25 years old Italian living in Oulu since september 2009. I came here to write my Master Thesis in Computer Engineering and I fell in love with this city, so much that I decided to stay here to have also my Ph.D. Currently I am working as a Research Assistant for Mediateam, a research group in the Computer Science and Engeneering department at the University of Oulu.

I am sure of having a great Vappu. It"ll be my second one so I´m already prepared to have a lot of fun. For sure I"ll be spending my Saturday having a picnic (in the Italian style - i.e. with lasagne and other typical Italian food) and a great pary night. There will be not enough time to rest, since the Vappu day will be spent with friends, hanging around in the city centre, trying to avoid any hangover.
